WWE 24/7 - Roundtable Show - Tough Guys Review - December 3, 2007
The new roundtable show is up on WWE 24/7 and the topic is tough guys in and out of the ring. This is the first show with the new panel consisting of Jim Ross, Mick Foley, Tazz, Michael Hayes, and Pat Patterson. I love these roundtable shows!! Some fun stories told about several stars over the years. Different wrestlers discussed included Kurt Angle, Brock Lesnar, Undertaker, Danny Hodge, Bruiser Brody, Shelton Benjamin, and more. They talk about how there were some territories back in the day that would encourage talent to go to bars and get in fights to show how tough that they were. However, if you got beat up, you were fired. LOL. Mick Foley tells a funny story about Kurt Angle that he hoped wasn't supposed to be kept a secret. He talked about Angle coming to him on the day of the Royal Rumble 2000 PPV in MSG. Angle was set to face Tazz which was Tazz's debut for the company. Foley says that Angle asked him "what do I do if he starts shooting on me?" Angle was concerned that Tazz might try to test him. Tazz laughed at this with basically a feeling of there is no way he'd want to test Angle. They all put over Angle through the whole show as someone that you wouldn't want to try out. Tazz told of when he was riding with Angle and Lesnar together for a time and said that Angle and Lesnar were very competitive against each other. JR said that they each wanted to be alpha male was what was going on. They put over Lesnar big too for being a tough guy. Shelton Benjamin was put over by JR as someone that you wouldn't want to try and test either. Foley tells a funny story about Harley Race. He tells of Harley Race intimidating someone trying to get Foley medical treatment and it revolved around insurance and regulations in that particular state. He told the medical people that they were going to take care of Foley and it would be fine. The medical people proceeded to go into the regulation/insurance stuff to which Race repeated what he just said. Foley was taken care of without hesitation. They all put over Harley as one of the toughest guys ever in the business and someone that you did not want to make angry. There are plenty of other stories told that were a lot of laughs. Check out the show if you get a chance.
