WWE 24/7 - World Class 1982 Show Thoughts - December 17, 2007

I'm working on getting caught up on some of my WWE 24/7 viewing. I watched several World Class Championship Wrestling shows from 1982 over the weekend. If you didn't know, WWE 24/7 is showing the WCCW weekly shows in order. This is good stuff. I've never seen these shows and I'm having a fun time watching them. I was noticing how different that they produced this show as they had a ton of cameras and used a lot of crowd reactions. After I had taken note of that, Michael Hayes and Kevin Von Erich (who host the World Class shows on 24/7 talking about the history of the company) pointed out how different the shows looked as far as production from the other stuff at the time. Some of the highlights of the stuff I've seen? King Kong Bundy providing proof that Ric Flair had offered a bounty on Kerry Von Erich. Then, the verbal exchange between Flair and Fritz Von Erich via satellite over the allegations. The Freebirds debut in WCCW. Bundy announcing that he's done with H&H and forming his own new company Devastation Incorporated. Just how much the fans love Bugsy McGraw. Actually, the WCCW fans make this show even better cause they are so crazy into it with cheering who they like. I am just about to the heel turn by the Freebirds on the Von Erichs which is about to launch the Freebirds/Von Erichs feud into wrestling history.
