WWE 24/7 - Roundtable Show - Worst Characters Thoughts - June 9, 2008

I recently watched the new Legends of Wrestling roundtable show on WWE 24/7. Fun show that focused on the discussion of the worst characters in wrestling history. One of the first mentioned, to no surprise, was The Shockmaster. If you aren't familiar with him, this was the artist formerly known as Tugboat in a mask making his debut at the Clash Of Champions in WCW. Well, he was supposed to crash through the wall and he did BUT he fell through the wall and his mask tumbled to the ground. He got up and continued his promo while the character was ruined. Dusty Rhodes tells a great story about it where he said that he was booking at the time backstage. They practiced the wall thing earlier in the day and it went great. The problem was that David Crockett put a plank at the bottom of the wall so that was what he fell over. Dusty said that when it happened, he laughed all night. When he met up with him backstage after it happened, he tried to be encouraging and motivate him but Dusty couldn't quit laughing. Dusty said that they had to take himself to another room away from the backstage environment cause he couldn't quit laughing at what had occurred. WWE has posted a short clip of this discussion from the show on their You Tube site. I highly recommend checking this clip out to hear part of the story.

I did catch WWE miss a WWF reference in a show lately. That roundtable show that I was just talking about on WWE 24/7 has Pat Patterson referring to Dusty Rhodes coming to the "WWF". Hearing those letters on a broadcast now just has an instant reaction of clicking in your head. I caught it immediately thinking oops, they missed that one. Also, Patterson said those letters as they were discussing the topic on the recent taping so it wasn't old footage that it was on.
